"Bought a necklace from Shopbop. 14K diamond bla bla bla. Price stated was US$1395 but was slashed to US$411 excluding tax and delivery cost. When the item arrived, I went to check for its value in a pawn/jewelry shop. And I found out its worth only about US$35. UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING!"

"I worked at Shopbop | East Dane full-time Cons: Members of the leadership team have been publicly humiliated and bullied by the executive team. Human Resources has been referred to as the “narc” by members of the inner circle because they work for the executives not the employees so don’t bother trying to bring anything to their attention. There is little interest in employees well-being both mental and physical. When the CEO learned multiple departments were experiencing anxiety and unusual amounts of stress she replied in a large meeting that employees are just Type A personalities and it had nothing to do with work. End of story. Mental well-being is not important and those who speak up are pushed out. Executive team lacks basic understanding of business best practices creating an environment where departments constantly spin to try to meet the ever changing demands. Blame is often placed on teams who are only doing what they are forced to do as ‘managements way is the only way’. There is no organizational alignment because there is no culture. What used to be a culture based on transparency, trust and data is now a culture of yesing management through hierarchy. This type of culture seeps into decision making - which ultimately will break the company. Because of managements way of ruling, there is a complete lack of diversity in how the business thinks about the ever evolving customer and the best way to serve the customer."

"I have been working at Shopbop | East Dane full-time for more than 3 years Cons: In my opinion, the atmosphere in creative-operations at Shopbop mirrors the television show "The Office" in many ways that are not positive. First, they want everyone to think of each other as "family". But a business is not a family or second family or any sort of family. A business should be professional and not intertwined with personal life and feelings. Yet, in spite of this, not everyone is welcome to become a family member. There is definitely an "in" group and an "out" group in creative operations. For those who fit this familial mold, they are treated with kindness and illegal substance parties. It has even been suggested through the grapevine that promotions and roles are chosen not based on merit, but favoritism (and even nepotism). Therefore, the members of the "family" seem to have carte blanche to act and treat others however they want without fear of repercussion. Whereas the "non-family" members are subject to being called out for doing the same things that "family" members do, but never get in trouble for. Overall, the environment can be quite taxing and scrutinizing if you are not a "family" member. It can lead you to feeling excluded, not good enough, and all together terrible and without a reason to live. My time at Shopbop made me feel like I was never good enough. And I found it so odd and unprofessional that what felt like a majority of the creative operations employees had dated one another."

"Fluency is required in the usual ecommerce buzzwords, so bone up! And be prepared to spend a lot of time convincing yourself having the experience on your resume is worth it. ShopBop management is pretty negative, they talk about employees, usually it’s personal and offensive. Often right in the middle of the open office plan where we can all hear. They offer no real training or support when questions arise. They rely too much on contract workers, creating an even worse impression of the turnover there, which is pretty high. People leave and transfer out constantly. Don’t pity those who remain, they are in their element and will likely thrive there for a long time!"

"They don’t tell you that you will be forced to work 60hr weeks 6 days a week always on your feet either walking or standing. They have no training and then will punish you for messing up! 100% warehouse no daylight ever. They will not tell you that they will force you to go to different locations that day. Extremely strict on attendance you can get up to 20 points but you get 3 points just for coming back from break late"

"Very boring but good pay. Odd shift schedules making sure you don't get a 2nd job. Managers and the company NEED TO GET THERE SH@$ TOGETHER. I felt that I was played and my time was wasted. I was trained on consolidation ( packaging) but soon after they did not put me there very often. They are not consistent and do not make easy for people to stay and felt like if there bias. Shopbop has a high turnover and people do not want to last long. Cons: Dumb management"

"If you dont have an outside life this job is perfect for you. Management is terrible and you work crazy hours that's mandatory. You have a certain rate that you have to hit and it's nearly impossible with all the employees plus the temps they bring in. Cons: Management, work hours."

"Management is lacking in communication to better help ground level employees and, when asked for help, the common response is "I don't have an answer for you, sorry." And don't think hard work pays off. You will be minimally recognized if at all and certainly no raise or incentive for hard work either. The ground level employees are generally good to work with."

"Leads walk around all day pretending to act busy and they do whatever they want. Manager sit on their butt all day, than comes out just to make sure everything running properly goes right back into the cubical offices.. Safety is a main priority I say that some bs.. Employee gets bruise and cut manager tell them it just a little bruise or cut give a them a bandage to cover it up.."

"Productivity is a higher priority than safety and accuracy. During sales they cater food for the employees. They don't show appreciation for the hard work of the employees (they are what make the business run anyway). As productivity increases, accuracy plummets. Cons: Terrible management"

"You would have tons of overtime working here and make plenty of money to live. But no time for rest and they work you till you burn out there. Which is fine for the company because they will just bring in new employees. There is no work life balance at this company. Mandatory overtime is a must. You are constantly told you need to hit better numbers everyday. Very stressful environment and managers do not care for the employees."

"a typical day would be a mandatory 10 hour day, the more you work for them the less your opinion is valued. i learned how to manage my time efficiently. the management is fair for the most part but do play favoritism for trying to go farther in the company. the work culture, is loud, but not much talking to keep efficiency. the hardest part of the job is struggling to get ahead in the career. the most enjoyable part of the job is being put in a draing every company meeting. Cons: straining, and exhausting"

"After creating an account and placing an order of more than $250 dollars, not only my order was refused and my account was blocked because they were "unable to verify that the information provided was associated with the credit card holder" (me), but **they never asked for more info nor notified me**. So I was expecting the package to be processed (and shipped) a week ago, tried to go on the website to check, and found out I could not even enter my account. I will not get the item in time, especially that I live abroad (I was also paying Import fees), and definitely will not buy from them again."

"Canadian! Do not buy here. I ordered shoes from shopbop since it is free return. However, size was big and very heavy. I had to refund. I paid $200 and they refund me $150. They said $50 is custom and duty... there was no free return. I lost my $50..."

Later after Christmas they appeared as delivered on the UPS tracking but I never received them. I was told “sorry for the inconvenience” and that’s it. "Honestly I have never been more disappointed with a ‘luxury’ business before. International shipping is quoted as taking 2-4 days, my parcel actually wasn’t even dispatched until the 4th day and took a further 6 days to arrive. When I called customer services to find out what was going on after 3 days of no movement the person I spoke to wouldn’t even take my order number to look into it and I was only told that my estimated delivery date was just an estimate, it couldn’t be guaranteed and neither could shipping times despite it being plastered all over the website, and that likely it would be much longer. I have been unable to see the shipping invoice to check the true taxes charged and after reaching out to DHL I was told I have to speak to Shopbop, the exact opposite of the advice on the website Most disappointingly, when the boots did eventually turn up they were not in the original brand packaging at all and have been folded to fit into a smaller flimsy box therefore leaving creases in the leather of the boots. It’s not what I would expect at all when you spending so much on a branded pair of shoes. Lastly despite my order being placed through my account it has not been added to my rewards points I wish I’d read the reviews on here first before placing my order Order: 94462093"

"Ever since Shopbop switched to ECMS express courier (they used DHL before), their services went downhill. Orders take forever to arrive and the tracking service is not updated so you don't have an idea when you are going to receive your order. Customer service can't provide answers when asked. I had also ordered two dresses from the final sale category and they were both damaged. They don't really check what they sent out. If you're a new shopper in Shopbop, it will be better to put your money in other reputable shopping sites."

"Shopbop should update the delivery duration. Apparently, it stated express delivery 2-4 days but 8 working days has gone and the item still transiting in Chicago. Estimated delivery also stated 16 dec but again they failed. Please update the actual delivery time since cannot fulfil the express delivery of 2-4days. Dont mislead your customers especially when we are anticipating and thought it would deliver on the date stated. I just hope i can receive the package before xmas. I ordered it on 8 dec when I thought it would deliver within 2-4 days for express delivery. :/"

Everytime I wrote a mail I got a different person replying not to my previous questions,they had not done anything about the non delivery,then they decide to give me refund,what a performance, not a clue. "I have ordered a few times from shopbop. Each time the orders take close to a month at least to come to Canada and each time I end up paying duties. This third time my order arrived and my item came two sizes larger than ordered. I had already paid duties to pick it up from the post office so will lose that money if I return it and an super disappointed with them for packing the wrong size and then it taking a month to show up. The item was limited stock so I don’t think I can exchange for the right size. Super upset with this experience. I will be shopping Nordstrom instead which now does free shipping to Canada and usually comes ahead of schedule via FedEx in about 5 days with no duties. I’m extremely disappointed. Shopbop you could have been a good thing. I have edited my review because I would like to add that I emailed Shopbop and was impressed that they responded immediately and did offer me a slight price reduction which I was pleased to accept. I still wish they offered quicker and actual free shipping to Canada. However I must say the customer service was very prompt."
